Ettifos Co., V2X solutions provider, has entered a business partnership agreement with HFR Inc. (KOSDAQ: 230240), South Korean ICT networking specialist, to strengthen the strategic collaboration between the two companies.
Through the partnership, they will collaborate on developing Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technology for autonomous driving and AI-based Radio Access Network (AI-RAN) technology and products.
Both companies have made significant strides in their respective areas with Ettifos being the first to introduce a 5G-V2X modem solution based on Software Defined Modem (SDM) technology which was successfully demonstrated earlier this year at a 5GAA event together with global automakers BMW and Audi.
Respectively, HFR, a leader in base station and network equipment for telecom operators, has launched its custom 5G private network solution, 'my5G,' and is actively expanding its business both domestically and globally.
By working together, they aim to significantly enhance their potential in the rapidly growing fields of autonomous driving, smart cities, and AI-powered communication networks.
Focusing on joint product development, commercialization, and the execution of domestic and international projects, the companies aim to leverage their combined expertise and resources to create synergies, and actively promote the expansion of domestically developed technologies and products into global markets.
Ettifos CEO, Hojun Kim expressed strong enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: "Through our business collaboration with HFR, we now have the opportunity to expand the application of Ettifos' C-V2X technology beyond road infrastructure and vehicles to communication networks."
HFR CEO, Jong-min Jeong, added: "We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Ettifos. As the AI-based communication network market is set to grow significantly, our collaboration with Ettifos will enhance our competitiveness in the autonomous driving and transportation sectors."
